THE VINTAGE ROSE FAERIE - custom made in size 2T - 6T

This vintage looking handmade fairy costume is trimmed with venice lace and hand dyed ribbon roses...and comes with a beautiful rose fairy crown and handmade fairy dusted wings to complete the antique feeling.

But there is really nothing old or antique about this outfit - except perhaps that it is made to be heirloom quality, with great attention to every detail!

The ensemble begins with a hand dyed ruffle sleeve leotard that has been embellished with luxurious venice lace, softly ruffled around the front neckline....and a delicate ombre ribbon rose as a finishing touch.

Next is the incredible Faerie Skirt: multiple layers in the muted shades of dusty rose, champagne, mauve and ivory. I have used several types of fabric (crushed voille, pearl organza, mirror organza and china silk) to create the vintage mix of textures, and each layer has been hand cut in a random pixie hemline and then completely overstitched to prevent any raveling. The waistband is covered elastic. A sumptuous satin sash with beautiful roses ties gracefully around the waist.

A simple pink tulle underskirt is included in case you would like to add extra volumne and fluffiness to the skirt.

The Vintage Rose Faerie Crown has been fashioned from handmade satin roses around a covered wire base....adjustable to any head size with ribbon ties in the back.

And the wings: Absolutely beautiful handmade wings created by Angela Grant Doyle (www.ongossamerwings.etsy.com) sprinkled with fairy dust and embellished with a rose.

Not shown - but also included: A handmade fairy wand.
